OBRA
PELAGIC ART
In 2021, she premiered her first authorial trilogy, which takes scenic design, performance, photographic and audiovisual production as its starting point; this is closely linked to currents of critical thought, contextual art (arts of the territory and the body), sex-dissident perspectives, and environmental denunciation from one of Chile's sacrificial zones, such as the great north.
Her methodologies are from the sensitive, seeking to activate cultural mobilities aimed at the appropriation and transformation of specific contexts.
Her works "Venus en el Pudridero" (2021) and "Medusa de Sacrificio" (2022) have been exhibited at different festivals and meetings for emerging artists at a national and international level, highlighting the Museum of Modern Art in Cuenca, Ecuador; Bijou Cinema in Sao Paulo, Brazil; the II National Festival of Scenic Design, III Cusco Dance Festival, Peru; Ch.ACO-13 Contemporary Art Fair, at the Movistar Arena in Chile and Ch.ACO-14 Contemporary Art Fair, GAM, Chile.
CURRENT WORK
THE FORESTS OF ANTOFAGASTA, 2024
NÁUTICA, 2023
In 2024 thanks to funding from the Ministry of Arts, Cultures and Heritage of Chile; I will be developing a research project to enhance the brown algae forests of the Angamos Peninsula, Antofagasta region, Chile. This research, supported by Chango representatives from the area, will allow the design and production of high-quality textile clothing pieces for the development of an immersive, audiovisual and sound experience. Its premiere is scheduled for the end of 2024.
Ongoing project.
In 2023, I premiered * Náutica* The cure for everything is always salt water * a work sponsored with the Support Program for Emerging Artists of the Niño Proletario Theater Company of Chile.
This work is the completion of the trilogy of sacrifice, where a third Venus appears in blue tones expressing the melancholy of my memories, again located in the industrial neighborhood of Mejillones contrasting it with the vast geography and its natural beauty. Coastal cliffs and deep beaches are the setting for one last tirade: innocence interrupted by the devastation of growing up in a zone of sacrifice. Finally, the struggle is declared through the lighting design, where the industrial neighborhood and its powerful night lights face three burning ships on the sea where the environmental complaint is made evident from the sensitivity of the body and its memories.
AUTHORIAL
WORKS -PREVIOUS-
VENUS EN EL PUDRIDERO, 2021
Through a systematic sensitive study in the territory for months, it allowed me to investigate the textures, sounds and testimonies of a sacrifice area such as the Second Region of Chile. I traveled through monkey and "Chilean" territories, from Mejillones to Calama, passing through cities, towns and coves. Of these personal and self-managed residences, I developed two video-performances, and I am currently working on two immersive experiences in unconventional space during 2023.
Video-performance recorded in Mejillones where an anti-goddess is shown emerging from the dense yellowish foam of the coast of her industrial neighborhood. Venus personifies the progress of the extractivist system that sustains the Chilean economy, presenting itself as an enigma that is revealed through geography and different stage costumes and sound designs that allow us to recognize in its tones and textures the concepts that outline this sacrifice zone. The investigation of this work carried out in 2021 intertwines aspects of stage design, costumes, sound designs and performance with the emergence of contextual art images to generate an environmental, political and social debate.
Review An anti-goddess is born from the polluted foam of the sea as a divine-industrial detriment. Venus, the seductive expression of a bloody threat, of a latent contamination that affects the bay and peninsula of Mejillones, in northern Chile. Territory of exuberant beauty transmuted into a Sacrifice Zone. This is the deity that supports the shameless facet of conformism and inequality. Where desert and sea collide, there are those of us who pay for progress with our lives.

MEDUSA DE SACRIFICIO, 2022
An allegory about the jellyfish that fill the underwater conduits of the industries in the sacrifice zones of northern Chile. Industrial pipelines throw toxic waste into the sea and destroy the natural conditions of the environment and make the surrounding towns sick. Jellyfish arrive due to the artificial change of water temperature. This is an action that vindicates the marine animals that paralyze the thermoelectric plants and the entire industrial production chain.
